private client

Although Chris is keen to help business enterprises resolve their differences through mediation, he is particularly passionate about helping individuals do so.

It is one of life’s great misfortunes to fall into a dispute in your private life – whether that be about ownership of your home with an ex-partner, or with your siblings about your inheritance, or within your faith group about some new issue / policy.

Chris encourages all sides in these situations to recognise that their dispute is often not of any one party’s making, but instead the result of differing perspectives: through his involvement, in hand with their own legal representatives, many such cases come to resolution through mediation.

Three areas where he has been particularly active:

disputed estates: Long-running family disputes can be the most challenging of mediator appointments – but also the most rewarding.

property disputes: Chris’s property dispute experience has included business tenancies as well as domestic/residential.

trust claims: The situations Chris has most commonly mediated here involve implied/constructive trusts, but include express Declarations of Trust too.

A non-judgemental approach, delivered with outstanding interpersonal skills and a tenacity and perseverance to get results.
